UK CUSTOMERS will no longer have to wait to enjoy new streaming platform Disney+, which was released on March 24, 2020.

Disney+ is set to rival Netflix and Amazon for the streaming crown, but as it is a relatively new service, what can customers do if they want to stop using the platform?

Can I cancel Disney+ at any time?

Customers will be pleased to know that, like most streaming services, you can cancel your Disney+ subscription at any time.

This option becomes available when you choose to pay for the service monthly.

If you decide to cancel Disney+ at any time during the month, your subscription will continue until your payment date.

This is different if you subscribe for a yearly subscription, in this case you'll have to wait until the year is up to cancel.

How do I cancel Disney+?

Disney seem to have made it relatively easy to cancel its service if you ever feel the need too, here's some of the ways that you can get it done.

Web Browser

Most of us can access our web browser from all devices so this will be the easiest option for viewers to cancel their subscription to Disney+.

• Sign in to your account at disneyplus.com and click Profile on the top right corner.
• Click the account option next to subscription, then click on billing options.
• This will take you to a page which will ask you if your subscription is monthly or yearly.
• To continue with the cancellation, click 'cancel subscription'.
• Disney don't plan to let you leave without a fight and will take you to another page that will try and get you to re-think your decision.
• This page will show you reasons why Disney is so great-if  you're not convinced, then simply click 'complete cancellation'.
• Just when you think you're out the door, on the next page, Disney will ask you to provide a reason why you want to leave-which you can't skip.
• Finally, after completing these steps you should receive a confirmation e-mail from Disney, confirming your cancellation.

Phone

Using your phone or tablet to cancel is slightly different but shouldn't be too difficult either.

• After logging into your account, you will need to scroll to the bottom of the page and tap the "Manage Account" link.
• Locate the 'subscriptions' heading at the bottom of the page.
• Select the 'billing details' link to continue.
• Click the 'cancel subscription' link in the 'Disney+ subscription' section.
• If you're sure you want to cancel your Disney+ subscription, then select the 'Complete Cancellation' button.
• If you suddenly have a change of heart then instead, click the 'no, go back' option.
• You should then receive a confirmation e-mail confirming your cancellation.

Before signing up to a monthly or yearly subscription, you will be giving the option of a free-trial.

This way you can test if the service is for you without making any long-term commitments.

To cancel your free trial, the same process applies-as-long as you cancel before your first billing date, you won't be charged for the trial-period.

But if you change your mind and decide you need Disney+ in your life, then you won't be eligible for another free-trial on the same account.
